Serving Suggestions
With little to no fishy odor, these sardines are easy to eat anywhere and at any time of the day, from brunch to dinner, and as a ready (and portable) snack, straight out of the tin. We enjoyed them:
For Breakfast
- With scrambled eggs
- On a smoked fish platter
For Lunch
- On a bed of lettuce, spinach or mixed greens
- In a salade Niçoise, substituting the sardines for tuna
- On a crusty roll or baguette, with lettuce, tomato and aïoli dressing
For A First Course, Hors D’Oeuvre Or Snack
- On toast points, with a dab of Lemonaise (lemon mayonnaise), crème fraîche or sour cream with chives
- On an antipasto platter
For Dinner
- Tossed with pasta and pesto
- Added to a stir-fry
- Flaked into fried rice
- On pizza
