Cary’s Of Oregon Trail Toffee
A Gourmet Spin On Trail Mix
CAPSULE REPORT: Forget the M&Ms—Cary’s Of Oregon makes a gourmet trail mix with chunks of their delicious toffee. Trail Toffee, including toasted almonds, dried cranberries, raisins and large chunks of toffee, is worth taking a hike for.
We previously reviewed Cary's Of Oregon toffees, but would like to call out the Trail Toffee, a toffee trail mix, as a special stocking-stuffer this holiday season. Meant for munching, we enjoy it for much more than a gourmet munch:
- Serve it in small ramekins with coffee (photo at right): the flavors blend perfectly.
- For festive occasions, sprinkle it on yogurt, pancakes, waffles or cereal.
- Use Trail Toffee to decorate the tops of cakes and cupcakes.
- Bake it into cookies.
- Incorporate it into ice cream desserts like our Trail Toffee Sundae in the photo at the top, left.
The toffee comes in 8-ounce bags. For gift-giving, three bags are packaged into a gift tube. Anyone would be happy to wake up Christmas morning to find a bag of Trail Toffee in his or her stocking. And some waffles to sprinkle it on. |
For just $5.50 a bag, you can add a little sweetness to anyone’s day.
