Easy Peanut Butter-Chocolate Fudge Recipe

So Easy, You’ll Be Tempted To Make Fudge Too Often

While you can read the history of fudge—it wasn’t so easy to make in the beginning.

Then, a better technique was discovered: Use sweetened, condensed milk instead of cream.

This is a chocolate peanut butter fudge recipe.

  • For extra peanutty fudge and a crunchy texture, stir in chopped peanuts.
  • For an all-peanut butter fudge, use peanut butter chips.

The yield is 64 pieces, or 1-1/4 pounds of fudge.

Ingredients

  • For pan: butter or cooking spray
  • 1 bag (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips*
  • 1 jar (12 ounces) crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • Optional: 1/2 cup roasted or honey roasted peanuts, roughly chopped

Preparation

  1. LIGHTLY BATTER an 8 x 8-inch pan, or sprayed with cooking spray.

  2. MELT the chocolate in the top of a double boiler over hot (not boiling) water. You also can melt it in a microwave, stirring at 30-second intervals.

  3. IMMEDIATELY ADD the peanut butter and the sweetened condensed milk, stirring well until completely mixed. Stir in the chopped peanuts.

  4. POUR the mixture into the pan. Refrigerate to chill. When firm...

  5. CUT into 1-inch pieces.  Store in an airtight container.
