Bare Fruit Apple Chips:
Guilt-Free Sweet Treat

Our favorite good-for-you snack food is as sweet as candy and as crunchy as chips. But it’s pure, unadulterated fruit.

Bare Fruit makes five varieties of apple chips: sweet Fuji apple chips, plain or flavored, and tart Granny Smith apple chips:

  • Chili Lime
  • Cinnamon
  • Fuji Red
  • Granny Smith
  • Sea Salt Caramel

They’re equally beloved by adults and kids.

The company also has an organic line of the Cinnamon, Fuji Red and Granny Smith varieties.

The Cinnamon variety, based on the Fuji Red (the same apple is also used for Chili Lime and Sea Salt Caramel), is our personal favorite. It is lush with cinnamon sweetness, like a crunchy apple pie. The Granny Smith has slight tart undertones, but is equally satisfying.

Made from apples grown in Washington state, the apple chips  are all natural. There are no added preservatives and best of all, no added sugar. Aside from cinnamon and other flavors used to make the flavored varieties, the only ingredient is fruit. So you can have your apple a day without needing to dispose of a core!

Bare Fruit apple chips are available in .53 ounce (15g, individual size) and 1.69 ounce (48g) bags. Each of the individual bags contains one apple, 50 calories, 2g dietary fiber and 0 fat.

Why Are They So Delicious?

An exclusive process bakes the chip in a way that enables the natural sugars in the fruit to caramelize on the outside. This creates sweet and tart flavor combination, without the need to add sugar.

It helps that the climate in the Pacific Northwest is perfect for growing the sweetest apples in the world.

That’s why these wonderful apple chips are one of our favorite snacks.

It’s a bonus that the company is socially responsible and 100% carbon neutral. We like that are snack is as good for the environment as it is for us.

More Ways To Enjoy Bare Fruit

Snacking out of the bag is just for starters. You can also use the chips as a garnish with:

  • Beverages: As a side with cider, hot chocolate, tea (any tea, but it’s an “event” with spiced tea). Add a few chips to the saucer or serve in individual ramekins.
  • Cocktails: Garnish an Appletini, hard cider, hot toddy and other apple- or cider-based drink.
  • Dessert: Garnish puddings, frozen yogurt and sorbet and fruit soup.
  • Meat & Poultry: Garnish lamb, pork or poultry with some apple chips: on top of a chop or to the side of the meat.

As Halloween treats, stocking stuffers or diet food, you can’t go wrong with Bare Fruit apple chips. Order them by the carton. No matter how many cartons you buy, you’ll be ordering more soon.
