No, we can't sell you this Cezanne. But we hope to be able to point you to something almost as charming.

Food in Art
An Online Gallery of Food-Themed Works
This section is under development—in fact, we’re looking for a “curator.” If you’d like to work on an online art project, write to us.
Until this section is up, enjoy this fun project, “The Crackers,” from our Food Fun section.
From the sideboards and banquet tables painted by 17th-century Dutch masters to Andy Warhol’s soup cans, Western civilization has enjoyed decorating its environment with images of food.
Here, we present accessible art that in years to come may also be hanging in a museum. After all, Cezanne, Picasso, Gaughin, et al couldn’t give their art away for years, and would trade precious canvases to restaurateurs for....lunch.

But Is It Art?
If you owned the original, you wouldn’t need to ask.
One of many variations in Andy Warhol's series of Campbell’s soup cans. |
