Black Tea Blends

Nini’s black tea blends are very romantic in inspiration, and are beautiful to look at (you can see photos of all the blends on the company website).

  • Persian Rose. A wonderful gift for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day or any occasion that you want to give roses to a tea-lover. This romantic blend of Ceylon tea is bergamot-scented, blended with rose petals, organic rose buds, green cardamom and borage. As you can see from the photo above, it looks like a lovely potpourri.
  • Marry Me Again. Another romantic floral, premium Ceylon black tea, violets and lavender get a sprinkling of purple cornflower petals. This blend was inspired by Elizabeth Taylor’s violet eye color.
  • Duchess’s First Love. Also vibrantly-colored with strands of orange and blue amid the black tea, this creamy Earl Grey blended is blended with herbal rooibos tea to yield sweet notes of caramel.

All of the teas in each category can be infused at least three times, so you get your money’s worth.

Oolong Tea Blend

  • Twiggy. Developed as a spa tea, this organic aged oolong will appeal to oolong lovers regardless of its homeopathic properties. Oolong has a complex and refined taste as well as the purported ability to reduce cholesterol and aid in weight loss. This is a darker style oolong, the richness of the tea paired with the sweetness of chrysanthemum flowers. Oolong is also said to relieve tension headaches. Even if you’re fit as a fiddle, you’ll enjoy this fine oolong.

Green Tea Blends

While Nini’s black teas evoke Western romance, her green tea blends call up the poetry of the east.

  • Saba Green Tea BlendSaba. Saba means morning breeze in the Indian language of Urdu. To Nini, it brings to mind the sweet floral fragrances of early summer. Saba is a lychee-infused green tea blended with jasmine blossoms.
  • Berber. Nini calls this tea the tea of true friendship and hospitality. An aromatic blend of wild Moroccan spearmint blended with Chinese gunpowder green tea, it is very refreshing. The spearmint is gentle and natural—not the sock-me mint jolt of a tea flavored with mint oil. It’s a delight.
