Panna Cotta is a classic Italian dessert: the literal translation is “cooked cream.” These creamy Italian puddings have become very popular in recent years, making mousse passé. The basic recipe is made with cream, sugar, and gelatin. Unlike mousse, crème caramel, and crème brulée, panna cotta has no eggs. It’s less heavy at the end of a big dinner, while just as elegant and satisfying.

Made with all-natural ingredients using the exact recipe served in the restaurant, this silky panna cotta with its butterscotch swirl is both comfort food and foodie find.
We must disclose, the product available by mail does not come in glass stemware as shown in these photographs. These are the restaurant version, and Chef Burke gets his glassware after the panna cotta has been consumed. You probably wouldn’t want to pay the upcharge to receive eight glass stems and the incremental packing they’d need to arrive unbroken. So, Chef Burke has done the next best thing: he found footed plastic bowls that allow the pretty swirl to show through while looking sufficiently presentable atop a lovely service plate, topped by a tiny macaroon or other cookie of your choice. With an introduction of “award-winning dessert”—not to mention how good the panna cotta tastes—your guests will appreciate that you’ve brought them the best.
Shipped frozen in individually sealed bowls, the panna cottas thaw for 12 hours in the refrigerator to achieve the consistency served at the restaurant; though some people enjoy them a bit on the frostier side and thaw them for a shorter time.
