For too many years, beer served as the redheaded stepchild to wine in the world of adult beverages. Leading the bangwagon is British author Michael Jackson, who has spent much of his career enlightening the masses to the joys of hops. This coffee table-sized book is among his best efforts, as he presents individual chapters on the various styles of beer brewed throughout the world. Lavishly illustrated, this book also has a chapter detailing what style of beer to serve with what food— just likes its wine brethren.
