Cool Beans Dip & Spread Flavors
These smooth, creamy dips and spreads are very versatile, as you’ll see in the Serving Suggestions section.
Lemon White Blondie, on top of the stack, is a blondie with a hint of lemon flavor, garnished with lemon
icing and candied lemon peel. It’s terrific.

Lemon Roasted Garlic Bean Dip
The original flavor is heavier on the lemon than the garlic, but both both seasonings are subtle—as they should be. The beans rule.
Sweet Onion Bean Dip
This is a charming flavor; but because the flavoring is light, there’s not a huge difference in flavoring between the Lemon Roasted Garlic and Sweet Onion. With the first, there’s lemon on the finish, with the second, caramelized onion. They’re both good, and they’re largely interchangeable.
Taco Chili Bean Dip
This flavor, somewhat pink in color from the addition of cumin, paprika and crushed red pepper, has the most pizzazz. The spices are lively but not overpowering. While we like all of the flavors, and initially preferred the elegance of the lemon and caramelized onion, the sassy spices grew on us and this became our favorite.

Serving Suggestions
The bean purée can form the basis of a wonderful sandwich.
Hors d’Oeuvres & Snacks
- Serve with crudités and crackers.
- Top bruschetta and toasts (see recipe on the
next page).
Sandwiches & Burgers
- Add to a grilled vegetable or chicken sandwich.
- The founders enjoy it as a burger topping—but don’t restrict yourself to beef. It’s great with lamb, turkey and veggie burgers.
Mains & Sides
- Serve as a first course with toast points or toasted baguette slices.
- Serve with a vegetarian plate.
- Use the purée to make a vegetable napoleon, layered as the “sauce” with grilled eggplant and/or zucchini strips and mozzarella cheese.
- Serve as a garnish or small side dish with roast lamb, pork and veal.
