Varieties Of Wasabi Nuts

Real Wasabi makes it easy to “have it your way,” by offering its wasabi-flavored nuts in three single-nut varieties or in mixed nuts. All of the nuts are California-grown except for the cashews, which are imported from India.

In addition to wasabi seasoning, there is a spice mix that includes cane juice, soy sauce, tamarind, cilantro and other spices, creating a nice complexity. The product is all natural.

Choose From:

  • Wasabi Almonds
  • Wasabi Cashews
  • Wasabi Pistachios
  • Wasabi Mixed Nuts (a combination of
    all three)
Pistachio Nuts

Serving Suggestions

The nuts can be enjoyed straight from the can, or served in bowls with cocktails. But they also add lots of flavor to recipes.

  • Toss your favorite nuts into any salad. But use them to create complex salads: spinach salad with bacon, strawberries and wasabi cashews; Waldorf salad with apples and wasabi almonds (instead of the plain walnuts); frisée or mesclun salad with goat cheese and wasabi pistachios; Asian chicken salad with orange segments and wasabi mixed nuts.
  • Make a nut crust for chicken or fish filets.
  • Garnish plates and hors d’oeuvres. Add a few spicy nuts, whole or roughly chopped, atop steaks, chops, potatoes, rice or other vegetables. Ditto with canapés and other hors d’oeuvres (for example, roll a goat cheese log in chopped Real Wasabi pistachios).
  • Embellish snacks. Make a sweet-and-spicy trail mix, or popcorn with spicy almonds instead of sweet ones.

And you can enjoy Real Wasabi nuts with a clean conscience. On the next page, you’ll see why they’re good for you.
