Tequila Guacamole Recipe
Your day of avocado meals just won’t be complete without guacamole. Try this spicy, tequila-infused version for something different. Recipe yields 4 servings.
Ingredients
- 4 large, ripe avocados
- 2 ounces white onion, finely chopped
- 2 ounces pickled jalapeños,* finely chopped
- 2 ounces pickled carrots,* finely chopped
- 2 ounces tequila
- 2 ounces vinegar from the pickled jalapeños
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Juice from 1/2 lime
- Dried oregano to taste
- Salt to taste
*You can purchase these products or pickle your own.
Preparation
- Mix the jalapeños, carrots, onion, lime juice, oregano, vinegar and tequila and marinate for two minutes.
- Cut each avocados in half, removing the pit. Spoon out the pulp and mash with a fork.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and season with salt and olive oil. Serve with chips or on tostadas.
