Kaboom Infinite Energy Juice

Kaboom’s energy juices come in three juice-based flavors, come in three flavors: Tropi-Cool, Orange Buzzzz and Pomegranate Berry. They provide an energy boost from extracts of green tea and guaraná, a Brazilian berry that is a natural source of caffeine. The energy drink is a lower-calorie, higher-vitamin, better-tasting (in our opinion) alternative to other popular energy drinks on the market.

Each 8-ounce can provides at least 50% of the daily requirement of the complete B complex (Vitamins B2, B3, B5, B6 and B12) as well as a day’s worth of Vitamin C and half a day’s requirement of folate. It has fewer calories and more caffeine than Red Bull, Monster, Rockstar and Vitamin Energy energy drinks. Pomegranate Berry has just 30 calories and 7 grams of sugar per can (the other two flavors have three times as much). Each flavor is the result of mixing different fruit juices or purées.

Energy Juice Flavors

We liked each of the flavors, though the tartness of the Orange Buzzzz made it stand out as a favorite. Kaboom Energy Juices are perfect if you’re seeking a source of stamina from something that isn’t a traditional, carbonated energy drink, or coffee (a cup of brewed coffee has 80-135 mg of caffeine). More health-conscious consumers are likely to prefer the Pomegranate Berry, which is lower in calories and sugar content but still has a complex flavor, the result of blending juices from five different fruits.

  • Orange Buzzzz. This brings back childhood memories of orange-related beverages, but with an all-important difference: The taste has been renovated for adults. Passion fruit mixes nicely with the familiar flavor of orange to create a not-too-sweet concoction that effortlessly delivers the “buzzzz” of caffeine and Kaboom Infinite Energy Drinkenergy-sustaining vitamins into your system. Though it is sweetened with organic evaporated cane juice and erythritol, one of the primary ingredients is organic orange juice, perhaps explaining the natural tartness of this buzzzz.
  • Pomegranate Berry. The clear low-calorie choice; you get the same exact amount of B vitamins as the other two varieties, but consume only a third of the calories (30 as opposed to 90 calories) and less than a third of the sugar content (7 grams as opposed to 23 grams). Sweetened with erythritol, a natural non-caloric sweetener, and luo han fruit extract, another natural sweetener that is derived from a Chinese fruit that is almost 300 times sweeter than sugar. Lastly, it is also naturally sweetened with a fruit-juice blend of organic apple, elderberry, pear, pomegranate and strawberry that creates a complex flavor to please any juice fan. Though it technically contains the least sugar, the sweetness balances with the tart pomegranate flavor, and you can feel guilt-free even though you’re sipping on something that tastes sweet.
  • Tropi-Cool. With its tropical taste, it’s easy to imagine yourself on the beach. Forget caffeine; the strong mango flavor is enough to energize you. This is definitely the most “juice”-like of the three varieties; it’s like a tropical juice cocktail with the added benefits of B vitamins and folate.
